In a world of Teams calls and digital connections, it’s easy to underestimate the value of spending time with people in person. Yet some of the most meaningful business growth still comes from exactly that – showing up and having real conversations.
Over the weekend, Leanne, Deb and Lisa attended the Wanaka A&P Show, one of the South Island’s largest rural events. It was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with clients, meet new people and spend time in the communities and industries we work alongside every day.
Business is built on relationships, and relationships are built on trust. Face-to-face conversations create space for genuine connection – the kind that leads to stronger partnerships, new opportunities and a deeper understanding of the people we work with. These conversations often spark ideas, opportunities and collaborations that simply wouldn’t happen behind a screen.
Attending events like the Wanaka A&P Show is a reminder that business is ultimately about people. The time spent listening, learning and connecting is never wasted – in fact, it’s often where the most valuable opportunities begin.
And while the conversations might start with a handshake at an event, they often lead to relationships that last for years. And that’s Decipher’s sweet spot!
