Three Waters Design Engineer

Decipher Group are delighted to be partnering with Invercargill City Council in their search for two Three Waters Design Engineers. This is a great time to join ICC’s Water Services team. Working as part of an experienced Three Waters team, you’ll get exposure across the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects – from investigation and design through tendering and construction support.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and leaders who are keen to share their knowledge, provide guidance and help you build your capability.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Design and deliver Three Waters renewal and upgrade projects of up to approximately $4M
• Take projects from investigation and concept through detailed design and delivery
• Develop technical designs, drawings, specifications and reports
• Build your experience in tendering, contracts and construction support
• Work closely with experienced engineers, contractors, consultants and internal teams
• Gain broader exposure across Three Waters infrastructure
• Build the technical and project capability that will support your next career step

This is a role where you can do meaningful engineering work while continuing to learn from people who want to see you succeed.

You’ll already have a solid grounding in civil engineering and Three Waters design, and you’ll be someone who wants to keep developing.

Ideally, you’ll bring a relevant Civil Engineering qualification together with over 2 years of civil engineering experience, and Three Waters design. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software, along with an understanding of NZS3910 and contract management, will be valuable.

You’ll also be a clear communicator, comfortable writing technical reports and working with different people to move projects forward. As importantly, you are curious, proactive and keen to grow.
