Citycare Property is a leading provider of maintenance, renewal and construction services across social infrastructure assets in Aotearoa. With more than 750 people over 10 locations, the Citycare Property teams span the length and breadth of Aotearoa, supporting a full range of property contracts.

Exciting changes within the structure of the wider Citycare Group have led to the establishment of the new role of General Manager Customer Engagement for the property business. This role impacts across key functions including contract management, communications, data and sustainability. Citycare Property needed an experienced people leader with enhanced stakeholder engagement capability, to join their leading Ōtautahi based leadership team and take ownership of this role.

Decipher Group was appointed to support Citycare Property in their search and recruitment for this key role. Given the scale and level of responsibility of the role, it was clear that this assignment necessitated a specialist executive search process, to find a leader with the skills and experience necessary to succeed in the role. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Gardiner to the role of GM – Customer Engagement. An experienced and well-respected senior leader, Lee is a strategic thinker, strong executor and high-performance team builder. A champion for Maori development and achievement, equity and inclusion, Lee will will be a valuable addition to this fast paced, commercial organisation.

Lee joined the team in June 2022.
