About the opportunity
As the Service Manager, you will oversee the commissioning, servicing, and repairs of irrigation systems. You will manage a dedicated service staff, ensuring optimal performance and excellent customer service. Your role includes communicating with stakeholders, scheduling jobs, and ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning, Servicing & Repairs: Allocate resources, diagnose issues, and ensure timely completion of jobs. Provide clear updates to clients and schedule technicians effectively.
- Logistics & Administration: Maintain accurate job records, quotes, and invoices. Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize repeat visits.
- People Management: Lead a team of technicians, provide training, manage performance, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Health & Safety: Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Management Team Contribution: Collaborate with other managers to drive business success and participate in management meetings.
About you
To succeed in this dynamic role, the ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, mechanical aptitude with problem-solving ability, and a knowledge of the farming sector; a background in service management would be ideal. You are a self-motivated person with excellent attention to detail and an ability to effectively manage schedules, resources, and priorities.
