Since its establishment in 1966, Skyline Enterprises has been a leader in New Zealand tourism, starting with the construction of a Gondola from Queenstown to Bob’s Peak to support a thriving restaurant business.

From these humble beginnings, Skyline Enterprises has grown and diversified substantially, evolving into a global tourism leader. Today, Skyline offers an exclusive portfolio of world-class leisure and entertainment experiences for both domestic and international travellers.

Join Skyline on this exciting journey as we search for a transformative leader to step into the role of General Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). Lead the way in shaping a safer, more sustainable future for global tourism. Are you ready to make an impact?

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with Skyline's Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team, the General Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) takes charge of crafting and delivering a robust HSE framework across Skyline’s global operations. In this key leadership role, you will:
  • Drive the vision of HSE excellence by executing a comprehensive strategy aligned with Skyline's international objectives across global operators.
  • Champion compliance and governance by overseeing the consistent application of HSE policies across diverse jurisdictions and regulatory landscapes.
  • Shape a proactive HSE culture, empowering teams and stakeholders to prioritise safety and sustainability across all business units.
  • Influence and advise on HSE initiatives through interacting confidently at Board level providing comprehensive reports, support and guidance
  • Lead strategic initiatives in risk management, incident investigation, and continuous improvement to elevate Skyline’s safety standards.
  • Inspire and develop your team, ensuring collaboration across HSE business partners, coordinators, and operational leaders.
  • Engage in transformative projects, including high-profile site developments and international market expansions, ensuring HSE considerations remain central to decision-making.

About you
You are an inspirational, trusted leader with a passion for fostering safety, sustainability, and innovation. With excellent communication and influencing skills, you connect effectively with stakeholders at all levels, inspiring teams and championing positive safety cultures. Proactive and resilient, you thrive in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments while driving strategic change and continuous improvement.

You bring a relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety, occupational health, or a related field. With at least 5-7 years of senior HSE leadership experience, you have deep expertise in HSE frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Your background in high-risk industries like construction or tourism has honed your ability to integrate safety into strategic decisions and oversee large-scale projects with confidence.

This blend of technical expertise, extensive experience, and people-focused leadership makes you the ideal candidate to lead Skyline’s HSE initiatives.
