Reporting into the Finance Manager the Financial Accountant you will be instrumental in managing the financial reporting and budgeting for Southbase Group entities, ensuring compliance with financial policies and tax regulations, while also preparing payroll and enhancing business processes.  Above all else you will promote and upholding Southbase's values and principles. In doing this you will:

• Take ownership of financial accounting and reporting for one of the groups subsidiaries and prepare high-standard financial reports for the construction business.
• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts and provide performance analysis and supplier cost management.
• Support financial aspects of business ventures and enhance processes for better efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and tax regulations and maintain financial controls and procedures.
• Oversee payroll processes
• Provide training and support to finance and project teams. 
• Uphold Southbase’s values and promote its principles internally and externally

You are a proactive and driven financial professional with a strong background in accounting. You possess excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong decision-making skills. Your hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment are complemented by your proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

You know the value in partnership and is someone who can confidently and effectively communicate across a business. Personally, you are a self-starter, and possess exceptional interpersonal skills which fosters real strength in your relationships.
