Together with Decipher Group BWR are looking for an Associate Director who can step up, collaborate with senior leadership, identify and secure opportunities and mentor staff. In addition, you will have the opportunity to advance your career to becoming a Director, are you ready for your next challenge?
About the opportunity
Reporting into the Directors the Associate Director will provide strategic and senior leadership oversight of a portfolio of clients as well as identifying areas of opportunity for business growth. In doing this you will:
- Lead client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and retention by delivering timely, accurate financial and advisory services.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, contributing to the growth of the firm's portfolio and revenue.
- Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring their professional development and the quality of their work.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on business improvement initiatives and the strategic direction of the firm.
- Ensure compliance with NZ tax and accounting regulations, maintaining high standards of ethical conduct and risk management.
- Deliver insightful business and tax advice to clients, helping them meet their financial goals and optimise their operations.
About you
You are a Chartered Accountant with extensive technical expertise in NZ tax and accounting regulations, and you have a strong track record of managing diverse client portfolios while delivering high-quality financial and business advisory services. In your role, you combine your technical acumen with a strategic mindset, helping clients not only stay compliant but also thrive through well-informed financial decisions. As a natural leader, you take pride in mentoring and developing junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture where team members feel supported and motivated to excel.
Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for clients and stakeholders alike. Whether in written reports or verbal discussions, you ensure clarity and transparency in all your interactions. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving, identifying challenges early and proposing innovative, practical solutions. This forward-thinking mindset extends to your strategic contributions within the firm, where you actively identify growth opportunities and support business improvement initiatives.
Adaptability is one of your strengths—you thrive in fast-paced environments, effectively managing multiple priorities and projects without compromising quality or timeliness.
