As part of delivering in this mission, ChristchurchNZ is working with Christchurch City Council and Development Christchurch Limited through funding and service level agreements to deliver priority urban development projects and functions through to 30 June 2021 as Development Christchurch Limited transitions from being an operational entity. In order to do this, ChristchurchNZ needs a talented and experienced Urban Development Leader to take on this pivotal role until 30 June 2021. Interested?
About the opportunity
With a direct reporting line to the Chief Executive of ChristchurchNZ; the Unit Head takes overall accountability for leading the delivery of the urban development activities agreed. In doing this, the Unit Head will:
This is a key role in leading the urban development work set already in motion and requires a proactive and motivated leader who can truly hit the ground running.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in Urban Development, ideally within both a public and private sector environment. An experienced programme and project manager in this urban development context, you will bring a strong commercial perspective to your development projects coupled with exceptional stakeholder management capability. Although a strong leader, you will be innately collaborative and will enjoy contributing to the development and execution of broader organisation-wide strategies alongside your colleagues; lending a hand and providing support as needed.
