About the company 

Established in August 2020, FarmRight Limited is a growing farm investment management company historically specialising in the New Zealand dairy farming industry and now expanding into beef, viticulture and horticulture in New Zealand, and dairy farming in Tasmania.  The team currently manages over 60 properties presently in New Zealand and 14 in Tasmania and includes dairy farms, beef farms, orchards, vineyards and hop gardens. 

FarmRight now focuses on providing a full range of investment and management solutions to well-governed, long term investors. This includes investors in portfolios of farms across various agricultural sectors as well as traditional equity partnerships.

FarmRight have staff located throughout New Zealand with offices in Christchurch, Southland, Te Awamutu and Tasmania.

About the opportunity 

Reporting directly to the CFO with working relationships across the business, the Information Technology Manager leads and manages all aspects relating to information technology in FarmRight. The Information Technology Manager will lead and manage efficient, innovative, sustainable and cost-effective IT functions and services. In addition to fixed, network, mobile and wireless telecommunications services this also includes specialist database support, virtualised server infrastructure and hosted systems, and maintenance. 

The hands-on role ensures that FarmRight’s IT functions and services are resilient, secure, well designed, accessible, and adaptable to support the business’ changing needs. A client-focused service excellence culture is essential, through leadership, consultation and management to ensure business and client requirements are delivered to high standards, agreed costs and on time.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold a relevant IT&S qualification and/or a Computer Science Degree together with a minimum of five years of experience as an IT Manager. You will have a significant understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and have solid technical experience with diverse IT systems.  

This is a role that will suit a driven and hands-on individual who has the ability to work effectively within a dynamic and changing work environment; someone who can work autonomously and with discretion, while being proactive and approachable in providing IT support.
