About the organisation
At the Otago Regional Council (ORC), their mission is ‘for our future’. ORC is here to protect and enhance the environment and enable their communities to do the same. To be sure ORC can deliver on its responsibilities, they are evolving as an organisation, and they’re not overstating when they say they have some really big targets to reach. ORC need the right people, in the right roles, to help them get there.
Otago’s a pretty special place. It covers a vast area – the third largest local government region in New Zealand. ORC’s Environmental Monitoring team plays a vital role in providing quality information to support the management of the region’s environment. There is a lot of challenging and exciting work to be done including providing information for the development of a new land and water plan; a new air plan and a new coast plan. In addition, this team supports flood management and ‘state of the environment’ reporting across the region. This has resulted in positive change and growth within the Environmental Monitoring team which now needs a highly capable people leader and technical expert to take on the Team Leader role.
Could this be you?
