  • Join this vital, Christchurch organisation and drive your career forward

About the Company

Ōtākaro Limited takes a vital leadership role in the regeneration of Christchurch. Funded by the Crown, Ōtākaro is a commercially-focussed company charged with overseeing the delivery of key central city projects – both vertical and horizontal - and the divestment of specific Crown assets. As the leaders behind the development of the Convention Centre (Te Pae), Ōtākaro has identified a need for a Quality Assurance Technician to monitor and test ICT and Audio-Visual systems for Te Pae: we need a talented and experienced technician to join the team!

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Technology Project Manager for Te Pae and working closely with a number of teams within Te Pae and Ōtākaro, the Quality Assurance Technician’s core focus will be to ensure that the sub-contractors install and test systems according to the agreed technical specifications and plans.

Providing an interface between Ōtākaro, the main contractor, the sub-contractors, and any other stakeholders, you will monitor unit and system testing through installation and commissioning. Specifically, you will:

  • Witness the testing of a wide range of technologies, ensuring that they exceed/meet the identified standards; and
  • Provide quality assurance to the Technology delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have diverse knowledge across technologies, especially ICT and Audio-Visual. You will ideally be able to interpret technical drawings, plans, schedules and technical documents, as well as the data from test equipment. You will also have an understanding of Network Security, Firewalls, Network switch configuration and operation and testing.

This is a role that will suit a driven technician who is able to work autonomously and who is ready to jump in and take on a new challenge, contributing to the development and success of this Christchurch-centric organisation. Is this you?
