The PR and Engagement unit within Harvey Cameron is growing and an exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced comms/PR all-rounder to join the team in the role of PR and Engagement Manager - could this be you?

About the opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager - PR and Engagement, you will play a key role in delivering public relations and engagement activities for Harvey Cameron’s diverse client base, as well as championing the Harvey Cameron brand. In doing this, the PR and Engagement Manager will:

  • Develop and lead the implementation of communications strategies and initiatives which create lasting impact for a diverse client base – this includes from conception to delivery across various channels and platforms.
  • Deliver proactive and reactive media relations activity to build, enhance, protect and maintain client brands and reputations – creating compelling and engaging content while building relationships with media, commentators and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive client relationships – including continually working to add value to a client’s brand.

This is a newly created role that needs a self-motivated communications generalist with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Is this you?

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a seasoned professional with a good breadth of PR/comms/media relations expertise and proven experience managing and implementing successful communication campaigns across multiple platforms. A highly capable communicator, you’ll have excellent written skills with an eye for detail and the ability to write, develop and manage content. You’ll drive collaboration with other business units within Harvey Cameron, identifying opportunities to deliver PR-based solutions that deliver results for clients. People would describe you as a positive, enthusiastic and detailed team player who thrives on expanding their knowledge base and keeps up to date with current events and media commentary. Ideally you will have had exposure to delivering internal or external comms to multiple business groups and/or working across multiple clients in an agency environment – either way, you’ll be comfortable in a fast-moving, strategic environment and be able to confidently juggle multiple campaigns with a high level of client service. You will be someone who can confidently take the lead on client accounts and provide both tactical and strategic communication services.

In this role, you will be a trusted and reliable deputy for the GM - PR and Engagement and a high performing member of the Harvey Cameron team. It is a rewarding role for a driven, entrepreneurial and disciplined comms professional.
