This newly established People and Capability Advisor role will be essential in supporting the General Manager of People and Capability to build the human potential and enhance individual, team, and organisational capability. To support this team in its people strategy and achieving its objectives, Delta is looking for their next People and Capability Advisor. You will be joining the HR team who support over 600 employees! You will be nurtured and developed to grow within the team by working in the areas that really make you spark!

About the opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager People and Capability, the People and Capability Advisor will play a critical role in supporting the GM in providing Human Resource services across the team of over 600! In addition the People and Capability Advisor will work alongside the HR team to offer support and advice when required. 

In doing this the People and Capability Advisor will:

  • Support the General Manager to deliver a full suite of HR functions across the business
  • Support the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of HR services
  • Support the design, development and delivery of training when required
  • Provide employee relations support and engagement
  • Ensure employment information is accurate and maintained across the group
  • Assist with recruitment function across the business including the preparation of employment agreements

The level of engagement and involvement in these activities will be led by the willingness of the individual in the role. Moreover, you will be encouraged to pursue the path that you are passionate about.

About you

To be successful as the People and Capability Advisor, you will ideally have a relevant tertiary degree in the discipline of Human Resources and bring with you at least two – four years’ experience in a generalist Human Resources role. 

You will be a self-starter who is ready to get involved in all areas of a People and Capability functions, with a willingness to not only support in all areas where required, but in questioning and challenging the status quo, and encouraging new and better ways of working.  

With a strong focus on the customer experience, you will foster the Delta values and way of working principles in all your working relationships. You will be a strong communicator and as someone who can listen attentively, you will understand the true value of teamwork. 

We are looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running, is eager to learn, and excited about supporting the continuous improvement orientation of the People and Capability function.
