To support the continued growth of the Geovert group and to ensure that it can continue to be a leader in the provision of innovative construction solutions, achieving its strategic and commercial objectives, Geovert needs a talented, proactive and commercially capable Legal Counsel to join the team. About the opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and as a key member of the Corporate Services team, the Legal Counsel takes accountability for the provision of quality legal advice and services across a range of construction projects and associated commercial contracts; which in turn supports the group to achieve its objectives throughout Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the US. This is a critical role in ensuring the group balances business risks with the desire to take on valuable and strategically important contracts and work.

About you
To be successful as the Legal Counsel, you will ideally hold an Australian legal practicing certificate and you will be able to demonstrate your deep understanding of construction law and relevant standards related to construction contract documents. A natural problem solver with a proactive approach, you will combine your legal expertise with pragmatism and commercial nous to provide advice and workable solutions and get business done.
