About the opportunity  

Reporting to the Company Commercial Manager and working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyors, the Quantity Surveyor will provide effective and efficient financial viability in technical and contractual elements of assigned projects, to control expenditure and maximise revenue recovery to achieve greater margin targets and deliver upon client expectations.   

In doing this you will:  

  • Lead the preparation of detailed costs estimates, quotes, preparing tenders, offers of service and contract documentation  
  • Ensure that a projects contractual obligations are adhered to 
  • Play a vital role in ensuring projects are commercially and financially sound 
  • Proactively identify project risks and work with the team to mitigate or resolve these 
  • Work collaboratively to enhance systems and processes to accurately capture quality data 
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.  

About you 

This role needs a values-based, team player who is proactive and can pre-empt issues before they arise. You are detailed focused and have a thirst to make a positive impact in a fast paced, high performing environment. You are commercially savvy and possess demonstrable knowledge about contract law. Your negotiation skills, coupled with your ability to manage stakeholders, means you are able to broker mutually beneficial agreements.

Innately collaborative, you will be comfortable getting stuck into different projects in varying scale and size to suit the needs of clients and the business. You will have a passion to grow and develop your knowledge and to progress your career. 

Excellent interpersonal, organisational and versatile skills, as well as the ability to prioritise acrosscompeting projects and constraints will ensure your success in this role. You are agile in your approach and value the importance of teamwork. More importantly, you will have a friendly and down to earth nature.
