About the Opportunity and You
Reporting to the Board and taking accountability for the successful execution of the strategy, the Chief Executive will establish a high performing team and through this team will successfully execute the strategy, engage with key stakeholders and business partners, champion innovation in products, markets and business process and drive commercial performance – all within the framework of sustainability and the overarching purpose of NZFF.
To be successful as the NZFF Chief Executive, you will bring:
- A view more expansive than the functional. You thrive considering future possibilities, global trends, strategic opportunities and innovation and capably translate these into workable strategies and tactics.
- Extensive experience and capability as an executive. You can demonstrate your success executing strategy, driving innovation, leading strategic relationships and understanding the commercial implications of decisions.
- Strong leadership. You have built high performing teams; you empower and inspire others and drive accountability for performance.
- A commitment to and deep understanding of sustainability and emissions reduction strategies. You bring a practical application of these principles to enhance organisational performance.
- Exposure to markets and products relevant to NZFF. You understand how to tap into channels, bring product development capability together and uncover opportunities to achieve objectives – although experience within the food sector is not necessary.
This is a true executive leadership role, accountable to the Board and leading the business to achieve its strategic objectives.
