Congrats to the team at Invert Robotics – a pioneering NZ robotics firm – for securing US$8.8 million in funding from top tech investors.
Invert Robotics developed the world’s first climbing robot capable of climbing on stainless steel. The inspection robot, designed for use in the food and beverage, dairy, aviation, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries, has gained global attention for its ability to help keep workers safe in hazardous environments.
“Our climbing robots go where other robots cannot and people should not,” says Invert Robotics managing director Neil Fletcher.
With its beginnings at the University of Canterbury’s School of Engineering in Christchurch, Invert Robotics quickly attracted government and private investment, utilising robots for 360 degree inspection technology, rapidly growing into an industry disruptor. Sought out by major consumer and industry brands in Australasia, Europe and Asia, Invert Robotics provides services for 7 of the top 10 global dairy companies with the world’s quickest and safest inspection technology available.
The recent capital raise will enable further expansion efforts for Invert’s locally developed climbing robot into global markets.
